Personal Projects – Video Games

In some of the artworks provided as an online safety measure, I use my artist handle rather than my legal name.

Waverista

I pitched this game idea during Global Game Jam 2017. This VR game developed on Unity where you are a barista taking orders depending on what type of hand wave they show you. I managed the team in terms of time management, quality assurance testing, and delivery. The entire game was built and completed under two days. Ours was the only completed VR game during this sprint. Below you can see videos and screenshots of the developmental process as well as the final result.

GGJ Website

The testing phases where everyone on the team gave input to improve the game. Lots of laughter as we discover and fix issues but still enjoying the process of creating the game itself.

Bad Beat

Bad Beat by Drell (itch.io)

Created in collaboration with a friend for a game development sprint for Ludum Dare 41. Combine 2 Incompatible Genres. We decided to go with a card game meets rhythm game. I made all the art assets.

Quietus

This was early on in the Virtual Reality development phase for Unity when the company made VR compatibility easier. I created all the assets. Solo developed a VR horror-based game where the player must escape a labyrinth set up by a terrible warden.

EndLess

Concepts for a 2D pixel adventure game where the player is exploring a land ruled by a false king and endless rain. Animations, menu layouts, text readability and so on are all tested out below.

FOTL Minigame

Created a mini game for Destiny for their Festival of the Lost live event. This was featured on Bungie’s website as Artist of the Week.
